He's her brothers best friend and an infuriating pain her butt, but something about Mal has Delilah aching to explore a relationship with him. Loved it, and I highly recommend this 4.3* read.īefore I begin my review for Enemies with Benefits by Jenika Snow, I would personally like to thank the author, publishers and Booksprout for the opportunity to read this ARC and I have reviewed it honestly. Short and steamy read bit I’d expect nothing less from Ms Snow. ![]() Mal needs to claim her but will she believe he’s true after the way he’s behaved to her in the past and will the price for love cost him his best friend? Malachi fell hard and fast for his best friend Aidans little sister, she burrowed her way into his heart the second that they’d eyes met, but she is off limits and he’s trying to uphold the bro code, it’s getting harder and harder each time he sees her. Is this something more than just a tentative annoyance or real love? But how can that be when he’s suddenly turning up to pick her up from high school and now they are in the house alone. He is under her skin with every sarcastic comment and smirk he riles her like no one else, so much so there is only one explanation he hates her. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.ĭelilah has been trying to hate her brothers best friend Malachi for as long as she can remember, but really her heart only beats for him. There wasn’t any fighting or tension between people that hated each other, which is what I expected with a title like this. I wish it had more of an enemies elements in it. I loved that we get two epilogues showing us how their lives continued after their HEA. They’re both v’s and, although there’s technically only one intimate scene in the book, it’s a pretty intense and a long one □□□. When Delilah opens the door, she was not prepared for how intense the connection between her and Mal was going to be □. ![]() So he uses the opportunity of his best friend (Aiden) being out to go to his house and “drop off books” □. Mal has always been into her, constantly rejecting other women left and right. One weekend, Delilah’s (and her brother Aiden’s) parents are gone and her brother is out partying, leaving her by herself at home. Mal is a year older and now a freshman in college and Delilah is in her senior year. Sleeping with the enemy never felt so good.ĭelilah and Malachi have known each other for a long time, and they find ways to annoy each other, but they don’t hate each other they really love each other. I was hopelessly, madly, and irrevocably in love with him. What I didn’t anticipate was him giving me a night I’d never forget, a night that would shake all other experiences in my life. It was after that when I realized I didn’t hate Malachi. I started showing Mal exactly how much I wanted him, even if it was the worst idea of my life. pushed me to the point I couldn’t stop myself from acting out, letting my arousal take control. I could have ignored my desire, arousal that was at war with my annoyance with Mal, but then we found each other alone at my parents’ house and everything changed. ![]() He got under my skin in the worst kind of way. ![]() It was hate at first sight. That’s what I told myself anyway, because wanting Malachi, who was my brother’s best friend, probably wasn’t the smartest move. All stories in the Real Man series can be read as complete standalone titles.
